Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi Reviews Arrangements for Holy Month of Ramadan.
Budgam, Jan 28 (Kashmir Crux ):MLA Budgam, Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi, on Wednesday reviewed the arrangements being put in place for the smooth observance of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
During the meeting, the MLA took a comprehensive review of facilities aimed at providing maximum convenience to the public during the month of fasting. He directed the Executive Engineer, PDD, to ensure uninterrupted power supply, particularly during peak hours of Sehri and Iftar.
Emphasizing the importance of adequate water supply, he instructed the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department to maintain regular water supply and to deploy water tankers in areas where shortages are anticipated.
The MLA also directed the concerned departments to ensure the availability of sufficient quantities of quality meat and poultry in the markets throughout Ramadan.
Further, he instructed the Municipal Committee Budgam, Food Safety Department, and the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department to conduct extensive market inspections to ensure the availability of quality essential commodities at reasonable prices.
He also stressed the need for sanitation drives at prominent mosques and shrines to maintain a clean and hygienic environment for worshippers during the holy month.
The meeting was attended by heads of various departments, including PDD, R&B, PHE, Municipal Council Budgam, and FCS&CA.
