Srinagar: 12 June 2026 :•President of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Front and Former Cabinet Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has expressed deep shock and profound sorrow over the tragic road accident involving a school bus of IPTS School Khan Sahab which occurred at Neego Branwar in District Budgam.
In this heartbreaking incident the bus driver lost his life on the spot while several students sustained injuries. The tragic news has cast a pall of gloom across the entire region and left the people in deep mourning.
Extending his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of the deceased driver Hakeem Yaseen said I am deeply grieved by the untimely and tragic demise of the driver. I pray to Almighty Allah to grant the departed soul the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and bestow upon his family Sabr-e-Jameel to bear this irreparable and inconsolable loss.
Expressing solidarity with the injured students and their families Hakeem Yaseen said My thoughts and prayers are with all the students who suffered injuries in this unfortunate accident. I pray for their swift and complete recovery. May Almighty Allah bless them with Shifa-e-Kamila ease their suffering and restore them to perfect health at the earliest. The entire community stands with the children and their families in this difficult hour.
Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen also urged the administration to ensure the best possible medical treatment for the injured students without any delay. He further called for a thorough and time bound inquiry into the cause of the accident so that responsibility is fixed and such heart-wrenching tragedies can be prevented in the future.
