Budgam Police Conducts Awareness Drive; Organises Village-Level PCPG Meetings under Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan
Budgam, April 20, 2026:
Continuing its sustained efforts under the ongoing 100-Days Campaign of Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, Budgam Police conducted an awareness drive at Hardupanzo and organised village-level Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings at Kakaring (Charar-i-Shareef) and Garriend Kalan (Soibugh) in district Budgam.
During the awareness drive at Hardupanzo, police personnel interacted with shopkeepers, vendors, and members of the general public, sensitising them about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of community participation in eradicating the menace. Informative messages were disseminated, urging citizens to remain vigilant and report any drug-related activities.
In continuation of the outreach, PCPG meetings were held at village Kakaring, Charar-i-Shareef, and Garriend Kalan, Soibugh. The meetings witnessed active participation of community members, elders, and youth, who engaged with police officers on various local issues. Discussions focused on strengthening police-public relations, addressing community concerns, and promoting collective responsibility towards building a drug-free society.
Participants appreciated the proactive initiatives of Budgam Police and assured full cooperation in curbing drug abuse and maintaining peace in their respective areas. Budgam Police remains committed to intensifying such awareness and outreach programmes across the district to ensure a safer, healthier, and drug-free society.
