Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen Welcomes Expansion of Srinagar International Airport

Srinagar, February 25 – { Kashmir Crux } Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen, President of the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Front (PDF) and former Minister, has extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Central Government and Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji for approving the expansion of Srinagar International Airport.
“This landmark decision marks a pivotal moment in Kashmir’s journey towards growth and development, poised to profoundly impact the region’s economy and prosperity,” Yaseen said. “The expansion of Srinagar International Airport is a transformative milestone, catalyzing tourism, trade, and job creation, and ushering in a new era of connectivity and prosperity.”
Yaseen emphasized that the project will enhance air connectivity, unlock new trade and commerce opportunities, and drive economic growth, benefiting Jammu and Kashmir’s people. “The expansion will have a ripple effect on the local economy, generating employment, boosting economic activity, and transforming the region’s socio-economic landscape,” he added.
The PDF leader expressed confidence that the project will realize the vision of a connected, prosperous, and peaceful Kashmir. “We envision Kashmir as a hub of tourism, trade, and commerce, and this expansion is a significant stride towards that goal,” Yaseen said.
He reaffirmed the PDF’s commitment to collaborating with the government and stakeholders to ensure the project’s benefits are equitably distributed among Jammu and Kashmir’s people.
